- Step 1: Smile Assessment The first step in the SureSmile® process is a smile assessment. Your dentist will evaluate the condition of your smile and determine if SureSmile aligners are the right solution for your oral health concerns.
- Step 2: Designing Your New Smile Once it’s been determined that SureSmile® is the right solution, the next step is designing your new smile. With a digital scanner, your dentist can take accurate impressions of your mouth to be sent to the dental laboratory.
- Step 3: Fitting Your Aligners Once your aligners arrive, your dentist schedules you for a fitting to ensure the appliance fits right. Aligners are generally worn 22-24 hours daily for optimal performance, and your dentist provides you with instructions. When eating, you can remove your aligners, but putting them back immediately is crucial.
- Step 4: Progress Monitoring Regular visits to the dental office are necessary so your dentist can monitor your progress and check the condition of your aligners. This will help ensure that your SureSmile® treatment is progressing as planned and your new smile is on the way to becoming a reality.
